A well-established CPA & consulting firm in Midtown NYC seeks a SUPERVISING SENIOR ACCOUNTANT with 5-7 years of experience to service its regulated clients. Financial services accounting experience and a FINRA Series 27 FinOp license is a plus. Must be willing and able to obtain a Series 27 FinOp license and registration with FINRA within one (1) year.

DFP services include accounting, bookkeeping, regulatory registrations, ongoing compliance consulting and advisory.
Role:
- Oversee the full-cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities
- Manage monthly close activity including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analysis of general ledger activity and journal entries
- Perform balance sheet analysis; including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivables and accrued expenses
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare monthly/quarterly FOCUS reports
- Calculate monthly net capital, including calculation of non-allowable assets, haircut charges, aggregate indebtedness, minimum & excess net capital
- Assist with preparation of regulatory filings for broker-dealers
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
- Support clients with annual audit and regulatory exams
Requirements:
- BS/MS Accounting degree
- CPA license a plus
- FINRA Series 27 FinOp license a plus; or willingness and ability to obtain Series 27 FinOp license and registration with FINRA within 1 year of hire
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
